An education programme, enabled by practical tools
KADEF is the implementing nonprofit. The Digital Schools Initiative is the programme through which the Foundation plans to support school systems and sustained adoption. SkoolTime is its digital school-management platform. Direct education support and school re-entry work do not require a child to use SkoolTime.
Access, retention and quality
Access means addressing barriers to entry and re-entry, particularly for girls and underserved children. Retention means understanding attendance and dropout risks and coordinating appropriate family and school follow-up. Quality means supporting teacher development, accountable administration and evidence-informed improvement. Software records can inform these actions; installing software alone does not demonstrate improved learning.
Schools throughout Nigeria
Public and private schools across Nigeria may register interest. KADEF will review needs and readiness, discuss the programme model and arrange phased onboarding according to implementation capacity. Expressing interest does not activate a school account or guarantee acceptance, financial support or a place in an implementation cohort.
Support beyond registration
The proposed pathway includes a needs assessment, practical demonstration, onboarding requirements, configuration and migration planning where feasible, staff orientation, initial use and periodic support reviews. Schools can discuss a managed transition from existing systems rather than assuming that all records must move immediately.
Responsible use of information
The public school form collects institutional contact information, not student records. Any subsequent exchange of school records requires a separate secure onboarding process, agreed responsibilities and appropriate child-data safeguards. Public reporting uses approved aggregates.
