Community Activities | Inclusion, Education and Rights

Explore KADEF’s assistive-device distribution, education support and community awareness activities, with reporting from Gwoza and Yola South.

Community work with a practical purpose

KADEF's activities connect disability inclusion, education and rights awareness. This page brings together the forms of support delivered and photographs from community activities. It describes KADEF's work directly, separately from the national and global humanitarian context discussed elsewhere on this website.

Assistive devices and participation

KADEF has delivered assistive-device distribution activities. This work addresses barriers to participation for people who need assistive support. This work addresses barriers to participation for people who need assistive support. Assistive support is one practical part of our wider commitment to disability inclusion.

Education support

During the 23 September–20 October 2026 reporting period, KADEF supported 50 adolescent girls to return to school and enrolled 20 children under 10 in school. Returning to school and enrolling in school are separate indicators. These education results are included in the Foundation’s aggregate programme reach.

Women's rights and land protection

KADEF has carried out sensitisation and awareness activities on land protection and women's rights. Community discussions create space for participants to hear information and share priorities. The photographs show discussions, participants speaking, and women and girls holding awareness materials. Participation in an awareness activity is distinct from receiving individual case support.

Support for girls

KADEF's activities include support around the International Day of the Girl Child. Our focus is on girls' rights, inclusion and participation. Alongside the education support recorded above, community awareness keeps girls' opportunities and participation in view.

Reach and reporting

KADEF first Interim Report for Q4 records 1,310+ unique people reached in Gwoza, Borno State, and Yola South, Adamawa State, from 23 September to 20 October 2026. The 50 girls and 20 younger children are included in this aggregate rather than added again. Repeat participation is counted once. Photographs illustrate community activities and are not a beneficiary register or a separate numerical count.
